James Grieshaber has worked as Art Director for a newspaper and advertising agencies in the Rochester, NY area. Grieshaber was a staff designer for P22 Type Foundry and helped establish International House of Fonts. He has been honored with awards of Excellence in Type Design from Association Typographique International (ATypI) for Gothic Gothic, and by TypeArt2005 for his Operina Cyrillic. He has designed and co-edited the Indie Fonts book series. In late 2001 he opened his own type design studio called Typeco in Rochester, NY to showcase his typographic vision and provide custom typographic services. In mid 2006 he moved Typeco to Chicago, Il.
